Itinerary (so far)

So here’s what we’ve figured out so far…Thurs 15th Oct – Flying to Sydney on Emirates, will stay at Reece’s sister’s place for the night.

Fri 16th – Flying to London on Singapore Airlines, 1hr 40mins stopover in Singapore (enough time for a shower!), we arrive in London 5.55am on Saturday morning.  Will probably spend the weekend with Mum and Dad in London.  So far I want to go to the Red House and the William Morris Gallery, Wesley’s Chapel and the Design Museum.  I’m sure there were other things but that’s all I can remember for now!

Tues 20th – Might visit the Cotswolds or maybe go to Ireland with Reece, we haven’t figured it out yet.

Sat 24th – Reece doing his family thing in Devon so I’ll probably do stuff with Mum and Dad again near where they live in Wiltshire.

Tues 27th – catch ferry from Dover to Calais, then get rental car.  We considered flying but the ferry will be cooler.  Then through Belgium and the Netherlands, we have almost a week before we need to be in Germany.

Tuesday 3rd Nov – Reece’s nephew’s 21st birthday party in Hamburg, we leave on the 4th and head down to Switzerland.

Friday 6th – arrive in Interlaken to see Simone and her family.  I want to go on the cable car up to Schilthorn (Piz Gloria from On Her Majesty’s Secret Service) but the summer season ends on the 8th and then they’re closed for maintenance for a couple of weeks, so I’m praying for good weather so we don’t miss out.

Schilthorn - Piz Gloria

Mon 9th – we have no plans from here on, might go to Lichtenstein and Austria then head back through Italy to France to drop off the rental car before flying back to London.  Would make sense to go through Austria on the way down from Germany but we have to make the cable car!  I’ll probably call Simone before we leave Germany and find out the weather forecast so if it’s crap we don’t need to hurry down.

Fri 20th Nov – leave London, come back via Singapore and Sydney, arrive in Chch on Sunday 22nd Nov.  Back to reality!
